Conquer the fear of steeking! Steeking is an extremely helpful technique to add to your knitting toolkit that allows you to knit entirely in the round! Especially helpful to avoid knitting colorwork flat, it can also be used in a number of different situations. Learn how to use steeking in your next project by practicing a couple different techniques for reinforcement and then cutting our knitting together!

Materials:
- A copy of the Cozy Up! Pattern, available here ! Please bring 2-3 finished mug cozies with you to class. You can use any fingering weight yarn to knit the cozies, but Mckenzie strongly recommends non-superwash yarn!
- Sewing thread
- Hand sewing needle
- Tapestry needle
- Sharp scissors
- A crochet hook 2 sizes smaller than the knitting needle you used to knit the cozies
- A pair of knitting needles 1-2 sizes smaller than the knitting needle you used to knit the cozies for picking up the button bands
- OPTIONAL ¼” ribbon
