Learn to create your own yarn! Spinning yarn is a perfect way to gain a new appreciation and understanding of yarn construction, fiber types, and textile history. Kyla will guide you through the basics of spinning on a drop spindle, as well as discussing different styles of spinning, yarn construction, types of spindles (image shows a turkish spindle), etc. Students will leave with their own handspun mini skein!
All materials included! You'll be provided a bottom whorl drop spindle as well as wool fiber for learning.
